Camera's been in my hand for years — long before I ever called myself a photographer. Baptisms, engagement parties, a friend's wedding here and there. But the photos I actually go back to, the ones I open on my phone at 11pm just to look at again, are the ones of my own kids. A look between them. A moment nobody posed for.
That's what this is really about. Not fine portraiture, not a studio, not "everyone look at the camera and smile." Just showing up somewhere nice, letting a family be a family, and being ready when the real moment happens — because it always does, usually right after you've stopped trying to make it happen.
I'm based across Sydney's Northern Beaches and North West, and most weekends you'll find me somewhere with good light and a bit of sand or grass underfoot. If that sounds like your kind of family photo, I'd love to hear from you.
